"GhoStock" Paranormal Convention returns to Savannah

SAVANNAH, GA - February 5, 2008  GhoStock 6, a paranormal enthusiasts convention, will be held in Savannah, May 8 through May 11'th 2008 at the Hilton Desoto Hotel.

Billed as a "spirited weekend of spirits", the convention is held twice annually in Savannah. It was conceived over three years ago by Patrick Burns, founder and director of the Ghost Hounds Paranormal Investigators Network. Burns can also be seen staring on TruTV's investigative series Haunting Evidence.

GhoStock lays claim to being Savannah's original paranormal convention, attracting paranormal enthusiasts from around the country eager to experience the towns many celebrated ghost stories.

"According to the American Institute of Parapsychology, Savannah is said to be the most haunted city in America, and many ghost hunters call it their 'Mecca' among paranormal hot spots." says Burns.

As in the past, the event will host a number of panel discussions led by notable figures in the paranormal field.  Topics covered will include investigation techniques used in allegedly haunted locations, to demonstrations of psychic abilities.

The highlight of the weekend long event is the assignment of small investigation teams who will visit several haunted landmarks around Savannah. Teams will review their evidence over the course of the weekend and present their findings at the conclusion of the conference.  The first paid 100 registrants are eligible to participate on these teams.

For those not able to attend in person, many of the panel discussions will be broadcast in free, streaming video across the Internet.  GhoStock was the first paranormal conference to offer streaming video and has done so at every conference hosted since the first event in July of 2005.
